Hey everyone!

While Josh and UltraPro are working on printing and shipping your beautiful playmats, I've got something else to show you that I've been working on. You might know I don't just do art for Magic, but also play a lot and do my own tokens as well!  

So it's finally time to give everyone a chance to grab a bunch of these! I have a lot of new tokens to share with you, along with some crowd favorites you might have been looking for. I just launched this new Kickstarter and early backers (for the next 24 hours roughly) get a signed Artist Proof as an early bird bonus! :) 

We got rats on motorbikes, thopters, and even the fluffy doggo you see above! You can mix & match how you want, and because tokens are a lot smaller than playmats, I'm actually able to offer free worldwide shipping for the whole thing. Go grab whatever you like!  :)

Quick Update - Cards Will Be Charged in 24 Hours

Hey Backers,

Just a quick update today.  I was informed by UltraPro that their shipment of stitched blanks has arrived and they are moving into production for this project.  They believe they should be able to maintain their end of February ship date.

Now that we're officially moving to production, I will be charging cards for shipping, add ons, and new backers tomorrow, 2/17, at 11PM PST so please ensure that your credit card information is correct and up to date in your survey.  Any failed payments may delay fulfillment of your rewards.

February Progress Update - Final Playmat Layouts, Production Update

Hello and welcome to February!

It's been an interesting year so far and I hope you are all keeping safe and healthy.

The first bits of news I have to share in this update are some exciting images I just received from UltraPro.

Final Playmat Layouts

That's right, UltraPro sent over the final digital proofs for the playmats, which we've reviewed and approved for production.

Here they are in their finalized, extended art glory.

WotC required a few placement changes of the Planeswalker symbol, along with and some legal text underneath the UltraPro logo.  We were able to use the reduced size and opacity logos which gives the extended artwork an opportunity to shine through.

UltraPro and WotC have been great to work with on this project and we're so proud of the final designs we've achieved.

Given that there are some differences between the draft designs and the finals, I went ahead and opened up surveys for changes.  Surveys will be locked back down on Monday, February 7th, so if you'd like to make any changes, make them quickly.

Production Update

With the digital proofs approved, we're waiting on production to begin with UltraPro.

That's great, and we hope to enter production soon, but I've recently heard from UltraPro that their planned shipment of blank playmats has not yet arrived to their facility.  If they arrive soon we will still be on track to hit our March fulfillment date, but I just wanted to let you all know that recent events may have more impact than expected.  As always, I will keep you informed of any delays that may impact fulfillment.

Hopefully, the next update will be coming soon with a confirmation that we've entered production.

Progress Update - Happy New Year

As we head into 2022, I wanted to take some time to wish you all a Happy New Year and update you on where we stand with the project.

Extended Artwork

Status: Complete

As you've seen with Johannes's updates, the artwork is now fully extended and I confirmed with WotC before they went on their holiday break that they are all approved and production ready.

Playmat Production

Status: Order submitted to UltraPro.  Production scheduled.

I had hoped to get the mats into production in December, but sadly UltraPro's most recent shipment of stitched blanks had to be rejected for quality concerns, so we are now looking at having all mats in hand at the end of February.  

With the time required to get everything stamped, packed, and shipped, we should be able to get all rewards shipped out before the end of March, barring any further delays or unforeseen complications.

Locking Orders

Status: Locking orders on January 6th

Since we've put in the order with UltraPro, our time to increase quantities is limited.  We are going to be locking surveys down for changes this Saturday, January 6th.

That means if you want to upgrade your pledge or change your selected playmats, you have until Saturday to get it done.

We are also going to be doing a last call for late arriving backers using that deadline, so if you know of anyone that missed out and is still interested in joining the project, please have them contact me.

Locking Addresses

Status: Locking address in late February

We will be locking down surveys for address changes once we receive shipping confirmation from UltraPro, hopefully some time in mid February.  You will receive a notice 48 hours before locking down to ensure everyone has the opportunity to confirm their shipping information.

Once the playmats arrive, we will start stamping, packing, and shipping to get everything out as soon as we can.
